BEING A GO-GETTER
The first time I wrote something of value, I was in 5th grade and I overheard my older sister mention she needed a resume. I asked, “what’s a resume??!” She showed me her resume and I created an uber-fabulous version, netting me $25. I was hooked! So in 5th grade, I started a resume side hustle. Imagine a 10-year-old writing resumes for people more than twice her age on my $1,200 Packard Bell computer (in the 90’s, $1,200 was a lot of money). Another fun fact: when I was a kid I would win drawing competitions. I even had everyone wearing my cartoon designs on their clothes.
Fast forward 10 years later, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, upon completing Business and Technical Writing, I won my first substantial grant…and the rest is history! For decades, I was the person organizations and entities would outsource their technical writing to.
MAKING CONNECTIONS HAPPEN
Having worked for several prestigious universities, corporations, and nonprofits, I chose my path, writing along the way. I finessed my craft and built connections living in Tampa, Miami, D.C., and Chicago. By being a strategic and purpose-driven thinker, I have closed deals and generated mutually beneficial partnerships at countless Fortune 100 companies, 3-letter organizations, nonprofits, and more.
During my time in D.C., I was able to foster many long lasting corporate and governmental connections. From hosting various social events and networking sessions across the street from the White House (14th & H) to supporting NGOs and corporations in Tyson’s Corner, I gained an invaluable knowledge and execution of technical writing.
Since 2019, I've helped over 800 companies and nonprofits secure well over half a billion in business (and counting).
In 2022, I wrote $93.1M in awards (most awards are multiple year contracts of 3-5 years) with a 71% success rate. In 2023, we achieved $52.5M+ with an 72% success rate for clients. From 2024-2025, I closed over $175M in business via gov contracts, RFPs, and grants with a 88% success rate.
MY CREDENTIALS
As President and High Value Capture Manager of Prime Proposal Group, Inc. DBA Prime Grants and President of Prime For Change, NFP - a nonprofit based in Chicago serving over 200 youth annually and growing. I serve as Chief Proposal Writer, leading a data driven consulting firm that integrates STEM principles, financial modeling, and advanced technology to win competitive grants and contracts nationwide.
With over 25 years of experience in business development, corporate partnerships, and proposal strategy, I apply mathematics, data analytics, and financial forecasting to architect highly competitive budgets and sustainable funding plans. Every proposal is grounded in quantitative analysis, cost allocation modeling, compliance mapping, and revenue projection strategies that maximize return on investment. My strength in math and finance allows me to design multi-year budgets with precision, align them with Uniform Guidance standards, and build scalable funding frameworks that drive long term growth.
Technology is central to my consulting practice. I leverage workflow automation, digital research systems, and advanced design platforms to strengthen proposal narratives, enhance scoring alignment, improve efficiency, and elevate visual presentation. By combining analytical systems with strategic storytelling, I deliver submissions that are both technically rigorous and visually compelling.
Prime is a certified MBE and WBE in Florida, an SBA WOSB, and a recognized M/WBE by Miami-Dade County Public Schools. We are members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and maintain an A+ accreditation with the Better Business Bureau, along with active memberships in professional business organizations.
As shared, I am progressing to well over half a billion dollars in business wins secured for clients nationwide. Through structured capture management, data informed proposal engineering, and disciplined financial design, my firm has consistently increased win rates and expanded revenue pipelines for minority owned businesses, nonprofits, and institutions.
In addition to leading Prime, I serve as a Grant Review Panelist for the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration, including Workforce Pathways for Youth, Apprenticeship Building America, YouthBuild, and statewide justice and R3 initiatives. This role strengthens my technical understanding of scoring methodologies, evaluation metrics, and evidence based program design.
A proud graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, I approach every engagement with a systems mindset, financial precision, and technological innovation. My mission is to empower small to medium size entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and public institutions to access capital, scale operations, and drive measurable impact through STEM driven strategy, AI integration, financial intelligence, and high performance proposal development.

HOW I ADD VALUE…
I’m creative and I know how to turn an idea into reality. When I meet with a client, I see the BIG picture. I “begin with the end in mind” and “work backwards to achieve a goal”. In my mind, the proposal is already complete and awarded before the writing even begins. From there, I methodically craft the narrative, align the strategy, and build the case in a way that makes that vision achievable. This approach allows me to move with clarity, purpose, and confidence.
While outcomes may be uncertain and success is never promised - preparation and persistence are always within our control. Effort is the foundation that shapes progress, opens doors, and positions us for opportunity. Win I we, we win together and that’s the true formula of success!

For over 7 years and counting, Tammy and Himanshu have collaborated to bring brands to life through strategy driven design. Tammy leads client ideation, oversees the full creative direction, and develops mockups and overall design strategy, while Himanshu executes the final product and leads UI and UX with precision and innovation.
As a talented designer, Himanshu works closely with Tammy to produce high impact logos, flyers, banners, and digital assets. Together, they have served hundreds of clients, consistently delivering polished, on brand creative solutions on time, on budget, and at the highest level of quality.

We are changing the game again in 2026! Instead of writing 10-20 grants for a funding opportunity, Prime will apply collaboratively with a group of select community contractors, collaborators, and partners. Our new concept, Prime For Change is a nonprofit organization that operates as a hub-and-spoke model, supporting smaller nonprofits by providing resources, funding opportunities, and collaborative partnerships to amplify their impact and help them thrive. We DO THE REAL WORK. We teach, we instruct, we empower, we give back!
